If you are a Senior Buyer with automotive sourcing and purchasing experience, please read on! We're a commercial EV manufacturer that is looking for a Senior Buyer to source new suppliers, develop strong supplier relationships, and work closely with engineering to understand technical requirements.

This is a hybrid position in Troy, with onsite expectations 2x per week.

What You Will Be Doing

• Source new suppliers and develop strong relationships with suppliers - address concerns, ensure timely delivery and payment, and negotiate favorable terms
• Manage and track RFQ process for new product orders, ensure purchasing and metrics requirements are met
• Work closely with internal purchasing, accounting, and quality teams to manage supplier performance issues
• Use SAP for POs and tracking of deliveries
  
  

What You Need for this Position

Ideal Experience

• At least 3 years of experience in a Buyer or similar position
• Automotive and/or EV industry experience
• Experience working at a startup or small organization
• Experience leading RFI/RFP/RFQ processes
