Currently, ManTech is seeking a motivated, career and customer-oriented Jr. Knowledge Management Specialist, to join our team in Annapolis Junction, MD or Colorado Springs, CO(link removed)>

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Responsible for creating, capturing, organizing and assessing knowledgebase articles for enterprise use.
  • Must be able to develop a Knowledge Management roadmap strategy using industry best practices and enterprise tools.
  • Responsible for promoting knowledge sharing between information owners and enterprise users through processes and procedures.
  • Responsible for coordinating with cross-functional teams to align Knowledge Management strategy throughout the organization.
  • Must be familiar with KPIs and ensure knowledgebase articles support meeting the predefined metrics.
  • Responsible for continuous improvement of the Knowledge Management workflow as well as the relevancy of all knowledgebase articles.
  • Responsible for soliciting feedback from information owners and meeting with management to discuss updates and suggestions.
  • Must be able to recognize and understand procedural roadblocks and assist in developing effective solutions.
  • Responsible for fostering a culture of knowledge sharing; collaborating with the Training Management Specialist to promote and encourage strong communication with regards to knowledgebase articles.

Basic Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 2 years of IT environment experience required.
  • Associates degree in Information Systems, Information Technology, Computer Science or other related disciplines or equivalent years of experience.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong presentation skills and proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and/or related program software.
  • Basic knowledge and experience with Knowledgebase tools.
  • Experience communicating with and briefing senior leadership.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in Information Systems, Information Technology, Computer Science or other related disciplines or equivalent years of experience.
  • At least two years of proven experiencing in KM implementation
  • Proven experience as a team lead or supervisor.

Security Clearance Requirements:

  • Active DOD Secret clearance and ability to obtain agency suitability clearance

Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to remain stationary up to 75% of the time in an office environment.
  • Must be able to traverse between one work location to another to accomplish work duties.
  • Must be able to operate IT equipment such as a computer, copier, fax machine, etc.
  • Must be able to communicate effectively with management and co-workers to exchange information accurately.
  • Must be able to read, review and effectively respond to electronic as well as verbal communications.
  • This position supports an IT operations environment. Candidates may need to support work on nights and weekends and may be included in an on-call rotation for after-hours support.
  • Currently, the contract work location requirement is to work in the office at the customers site once weekly at a minimum. This is subject to change.

The projected compensation range for this position is $63,400-$105,400. There are differentiating factors that can impact a final salary/hourly rate, including, but not limited to, Contract Wage Determination, relevant work experience, skills and competencies that align to the specified role, geographic location (For Remote Opportunities), education and certifications as well as Federal Government Contract Labor categories.
