Position Description
Under the supervision of the Director of Logan Fitness, the Fitness Coordinator is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the fitness department programming and recreational and community use programs. Responsible for implementing all national, state, and county regulations with the operation of the fitness center, including sanitation, safety, security, and emergency procedures.
Essential Functions & Position Duties
- Management of the entire fitness desk staff, including recruiting, hiring, training, scheduling, and supervising
- Coordinate and oversee personal training program
- Plan and manage all aspects of Logan Fitness events
- Serve as primary facility supervisor on weekends
- Provide additional and fill-in fitness desk or lifeguard coverage as needed
Required Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent
Sixty (60) completed semester hours of college education
One (1) year of experience in fitness, aquatics, or sports
*Must have or be willing to obtain lifeguard certification within the first three (3) months of employment
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelors degree
Management experience
Lifeguard certification

Other duties as assigned. Duties must be performed on the John A. Logan College campus or designated location
