We seek a skilled and proficient Software Engineer to develop, integrate, and manage our company's software systems for all aspects of our business. In this role, you will develop and integrate enterprise software to streamline our operations and drive workflow automation to increase efficiencies.

As our Software Engineer, you will work closely with senior management and department heads to understand our needs and develop technological solutions to improve operational efficiency. Your analytical mindset will enable you to provide insightful recommendations for suitable software, while your software engineering expertise will allow you to ensure our enterprise applications function seamlessly.

Salary: $52.00 - $54.00 /hour
Work Location: 28 Farnham Rd., Belleville, ON K8N 0P1
Work hours: 37.5 hours/week, 52 weeks/year

Experience:
- 5+ years of experience as a Software Engineer, with an emphasis on enterprise software development and API integration;
- Bachelor's degree or higher education in computer science, software programming, or other related field.

Skills and capabilities:
- Proficient in developing custom code to modify existing software or create new software as needed;
- Skilled in creating software APIs and plugins to create an integrated and easy-to-use digital ecosystem for an enterprise;
- Capable of sourcing for off-the-shelf enterprise applications and negotiating a reasonable cost for software within budget constraints;
- Understands the complex software needs of a company engaged in both sales and servicing;
- Familiar with common programming languages and frameworks such as C++, C#, Java, SQL;
- Able to manage and maintain the network security of cloud-based applications.

Position specifics:
- Collaborate with various departments (Customer Relationship, Inventory, Sales and Finance) to understand their current processes and how their workflow may be optimized with software solutions that improve efficiency and enhance the overall customer experience;
- Develop a comprehensive enterprise software ecosystem including CRM, inventory management, finance and accounting, service scheduling, and online presence management to modernize Performance Sales & Accessories' capabilities, such as tracking available vehicles, managing vehicle details, and updating inventory in real-time and helping manage customer interactions, tracking sales leads, and improving customer satisfaction;
- Assess and determine the costs and feasibility of utilizing off-the-shelf software, customized software, in-house developed software, or a mix to suit the company's needs, including efficiently managing service appointments, parts inventory, and repair processes;
- Consider multiple factors, including cost, suitability, functionality, and user-friendliness, when selecting and developing software;
- Develop plugins and APIs to integrate software for various user levels and permissions;
- Drive workflow automation and increase efficiencies across the company via technical solutions;
- Conduct thorough testing to ensure software reliability and usability;
- Maintain ongoing security measures and updates to protect the integrity and safety of software systems;
- Provide staff training on how to effectively use enterprise software and assist in troubleshooting technical issues when needed.
