Technical Writer (Remote)

We have an immediate need for a contract Technical Writer to join a premier management consulting firm.  The Technical Writer will be working with Data Scientists, Designers, Engineers, and Product Managers to document the technical content of the organization’s flagship generative AI-based research assistant.

Location: Remote working Eastern hours

This job expects to pay about $30 – 35 per hour.

What You Will Do: 

• Determine the needs of the users of the AI-based research assistant’s technical documentation.
• Study Lilli’s operating processes and talk with product designers and developers to gain a deep understanding of the system.
• Work with technical staff to make the AI-based research assistant easier to use by creating and improving content for technical audiences.
• Write, review, or revise supporting content for the AI-based research assistant.
• Edit material prepared by other writers or staff.
• Incorporate animation, graphs, illustrations, or diagrams to increase users’ understanding of the material.
• Select appropriate medium, such as manuals or videos, for message and/or audience.
• Standardize content across platforms and media.
• Collect user feedback to update and improve content.
• Incorporate relevant links to Firm policies and standards where applicable in the content.

What Gets You The Job: 

• 4+ years of experience in technical writing and producing technical documentation
• Strong knowledge of using Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
• Excellent English communication skills
• Bonus – Experience using AI technology and tools to create written content
• Bonus – Experience with Notion collaboration tool
