Job Summar



As a Sr Maintenance Safety Technician, you will be an essential part of our commitment to safety and environmental compliance. This role is focused on maintaining and improving safety standards within the facility, primarily through safety maintenance work orders, environmental observations, compliance activities, and the development of safety programs. The role demands a proactive approach to integrating safety in both current processes and future project



Key Responsibiliti



Oversee and execute safety maintenance work orders and environmental observation


To include fabrication, welding, repair and replace activities of a mechanical nature


Ensure compliance with relevant safety and environmental regulations


Document and improve the electrical safety program, including training and enhancements to the Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) program


Collaborate in the installation and improvement of future state proximity sensors, light curtains, and other safety technologies


Work closely with the capital improvement projects team to integrate safety considerations from the design phase


Provide occasional support to the maintenance department outside of safety work orders


Initially focus on mechanical and fabrication tasks, such as installing guards and establishing anchor points


Assist in advancing safety features, including external reset buttons, touchscreen interfaces, control switch relocation, camera systems, and sensor enhancements


Qualification



Proven experience in a similar role, preferably in an industrial or manufacturing maintenance environmen


PLC experience, desire


Strong knowledge of safety regulations and environmental compliance


Hands-on experience with mechanical, welding and fabrication tasks


Technical proficiency in electrical safety and familiarity with LOTO procedures


Ability to collaborate effectively with various departments and management levels


Innovative thinking, aligned with focus on sustainability and technology
