Roles and Responsibilities:


We are seeking a Manufacturing Analyst / Cost Engineer Analyst within our Membrane Solutions team located at St Louis MO. This position requires 10% domestic / global travel.

This role will provide product costing expertise to ensure resources used during the manufacturing process are systematically recorded and reported in support of costing and profitability strategies.

In this role, you will work closely with the finance, procurement, and operations team to develop / maintain cost standards that represent the true cost of goods manufactured.


Required Skills / Abilities:


Maintain an accurate capacity planning model. Lead yearly product costing planning initiatives which includes production volumes and spending, calculating, and analyzing activity rates and allocations, and ensuring the setup of reasonable standard cost, including material cost, activity rate, and overhead allocation.
Provide expertise for product costing. Review and approve new and revised bills of materials and receipts and to ensure they properly reflect the true cost of production and align with the businesss product costing policies and strategies.
Hold plant layout reviews with production area owners. Communicate and interact with shop floor personnel, quality/process teams, customer management team, material teams, purchasing teams and other engineers involved in the process.
Recommend, develop, and help implement cost reduction ideas. Assist with developing and researching improvement activities, CI project management, and use of lean tools. Must have experience in both short and long-term improvement projects, with demonstrated capability to gain consensus and implement manufacturing process improvements.
Utilize weekly / monthly scrap data, analyzing root causes of issues and facilitate resolution via the operations team to prevent reoccurrence.
Perform process modeling and analysis using value stream tools and simulation software as assigned.
Strong SAP CO knowledge, specifically in product costing (CO-Product Costing, material ledger) for product cost planning, cost object controlling, and month end closing.
Deep understanding of functionality in SAP for standard price, actual price/PUP and variance allocation as well as set up of related master data.
Experience analyzing costing value flow and providing business costing insights and recommendations for improvement.
Experience in plant production budgeting
Experience in management reporting
Working knowledge of production flows and processes in a repetitive manufacturing environment.

Education and Licensing Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Cost Accounting or equivalent experience,
Deep understanding of accounting and financial statements related to Cost of Goods Sold (COGS), Cost of Goods Manufactured (COGM), and inventory valuation under various accounting standards both locally and globally.
Strong knowledge of project management processes
Demonstrated capability to accurately assess opportunities in manufacturing processes, and possesses the technical know-how to troubleshoot and solve complex manufacturability problems.
Solid Industrial Engineering skills, including material flow, process flow, and time & motion study.
Minimum of four years of related work experience in a manufacturing environment with significant exposure / time spent on the factory floor. Experience working in and supporting Manufacturing Facilities on day to day basis.
Superb communication and organizational skills and must be detail oriented, show initiative, and work in a fast-paced environment. This individual must be capable of working in a team environment with shared responsibilities. Excellent time management and prioritization skills
Candidates should also possess demonstrated troubleshooting skills, a logical and systematic approach to problem-solving, and strong interpersonal and communication skills.
