Job Description

In this role, you have the opportunity to


Make the difference in Philips business systems, Philips business transformation programs and Philipss solutions journey via End to End (E2E) consistent and standard data. This includes data models, data design, data governance and data flows to complement the process and IT systems setup.

You will bring a strong enterprise data background in senior data design and architecture roles coupled with expertise and experience in creating E2E view of data. Also experience in creating a scalable, consistent, and simplified data models. Strong leadership and influencing skills with ability to connect with senior leaders in process, IT and business.


You are responsible for


Gathering information related requirements with Business Process Experts including business process and regulatory requirements. Secure approvals and change control process on data models and master data management processes (up to level 5-6),

Responsible for the target data models & definitions in the product data domain - including master & transactional data to support business processes, and systems in the Idea-to-market (I2M) domain including their impact in all the downstream processes and systems i.e., Market-to-order (M2O), Order-to-cash (O2C), Quality management complaints etc.,

Defines and maintain data quality rules/checks working closely with data quality team,

With each new deployment, actively review data design changes proposed by IT platforms,

Actively supporting data domain compliance i.e. ICS Sox, FDA, Privacy etc.,

Guide and actively collaborate with the dedicated Product domains Business Information Experts across platforms,

Supporting the definition of the master data domain roadmap including requirements, design and governance, implementation and deployment of the MDM solution and processes,

Identifying and promoting continuous improvement opportunities to drive standardization design and adherence, including on data quality, by linking to business stakeholders, BPEs, data services and projects as well as with the IT community,

Work independently and collaboratively with multiple layers in the organization effectively to achieve the goals. Working closely with process owners and experts,

Influence and drive change in data thinking across (senior) stakeholders and leaders across Philips.



You are a part of


IT-information & data management group reporting to Global Business Information Owner Products & Solutions. We are a diverse team with people from different nationalities, gender. Team is based mainly out of USA, NL and India. Data is considered to be one of the most important drivers for growth in Philips and this team is tasked to ensure we capture and grow data capabilities overall. Also data modeling and governance is a capability that we are investing in heavily in Philips-IT.



To succeed in this role, you should have the following skills and experience


Bachelors or masters degree in information management, computer/data science technical or related experience,

14+ years of working experience in the product data domain, related business processes and related IT systems such as Enterprise Resource Planning (SAP MM, PP, QM, SD), configure-price-quote and pricing tools and Service /Installed Base knowledge,

The role has emphasis on experience with data areas related to an end-to-end product lifecycle from product quotes to ordering and implementation at the customer,

The role has emphasis on data modeling (conceptual, logical, physical, and canonical),

Good understanding of complex configurable devices, products and systems either in healthcare industry, automotive industry or similarly complex high-tech industry,

Should have experience on configuration management (C-BOM) across PLM, ERP, CPQ systems,

Should have specific experience in PTC Windchill (or similar PLM system) to ERP/SAP interface,

Experience with PLM Systems (PTC Windchill, Teamcenter or Oracle/Agile etc.),

Conceptual thinker,

Good communication skills both written and verbal and fluent in English language.
