Marsh is seeking candidates for the following position based in the Auckland, NZ:
Senior Claims Adviser

In this role as specialty and financial lines claims advisor you will provide a high level of claims management services to clients and brokers through consulting, advisory, advocacy and negotiation. This includes developing technical expertise, account management and business development capabilities to achieve agreed business objectives. You will be a mentor to colleagues.

We will count on you to:
Responds to queries from clients and brokers. Prepares routine and ad hoc reports including claims trends analysis. Manages moderate to high complexity claims according to the Companys processes and client agreements, liaising with the Claim Solutions as required. Liaises with clients, insurers, claimants, and external providers. Drives the settlement negotiation process and negotiates on behalf of client. Acts as advocate for the client and determines commercial/technical responses to insurers denials of liability. Drive, where requested, the contract negotiation process for existing and new clients, agreeing service standards and documenting via the client service agreement. Manages the client relationship, identifies expectation, resolves servicing issues, is an escalation point for difficulties. Proactively maintain an awareness of technical and non-technical learning need trends within the division and work with Learning & Development and other internal resources to close any gaps. Identifies opportunities for efficiency improvements within Unit and coordinates implementation of initiatives.
What you need to have:
Clear and concise oral and written communication skills Strong numerical skills Excellent organisation skills able to prioritize work and meet deadlines. Excellent interpersonal skills able to work within a team. Comfortable and experience working with technology (solutions) Proficient in Microsoft Office tools (or equivalent) Outlook, Word, and Excel Commercial Insurance and/or legal background

Tier 1; Senior Associate member of ANZIIF.
Educational Requirements:
Diploma Financial Services or bachelors degree. 2-3 years Specialty and Financial Lines Claims Undertake Company-directed compliance training.
