Manager, Enterprise Data Warehouse

We have an immediate need for a hands-on Manager of Enterprise Data Warehouse to join a healthcare organization based in Long Beach, CA for a contract-to-hire position. The Manager, Enterprise Data Warehouse leads technical resources in the development and maintenance of Business Intelligence products.

Location: Long Beach, CA (Remote but must be local for occasional onsite needs)

This Job Pays: $75-85/hr during contract; conversion salary range of $160,000-170,000 (10% bonus)

What You Will Do:

• Manage a BI (Business Intelligence) team by overseeing all aspects of staff production, quality, prioritization and delivery of BI work products and focuses on a high degree of customer service by advocating effective internal and external communications.
• Responsible and accountable for ensuring accurate and timely deliverables, for assigned team.
• Utilizes inventory management systems and practices to promote efficient and effective throughput and projected resource usage/leveling. Ensures work products align to established EDW design and architectural practices.
• Collaborates frequently with other BI Delivery Managers to ensure work products are effectively understood, and transitioned to and from New Projects to Operations.  May be assigned scope/deliverables for New Projects and/or Operations team (cross-functioning management role), based on business needs.  May often take on overflow work from other BI Delivery Manager, as priorities change.
• Promotes team success by monitoring individual staff performance in quality, productivity and job knowledge, communicating expectations and upholding established processes and methodologies including a strict adherence to SDLC.

What Gets You The Job: 

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Mathematics, or related field of study required
• 3+ years’ experience managing technical teams, preferably in the healthcare industry.
• 10+ years of experience in business intelligence and data warehousing
• Experience with MS BI Stack: SSIS, SSRS, SSAS
• Experience with Azure Cloud and Snowflake Cloud
• Experience with Agile Azure DevOps CI/CD
• Solid SQL skills and database knowledge required; strong familiarity with SQL Server products.
• Experience with SDLC methodology.
