POSITION: SOFTWARE DEVELOPER (#269369E)
LOCATION: BOSTON, MA
Will analyze & identify the existing capabilities and check for a scope to improve the performance of the application. Implement a Proof of Concept to demonstrate potential technologies to be used in developing applications. Review relevant information security standards to guarantee Architectural Suitability. Create UML or flowchart diagrams of the application according to the design and architecture at a lower level, in preparation of actual software development. Break down larger architecture into discrete, implementable story cards to be pulled into Development. Will work on AWS S3 Service to store the data, SQS to push/pull data to the System and SNS to send the Notifications to Customers. Work on Responsive Web Design (RWD) page development using HTML5, CSS3, jQuery, JavaScript, Angular 8 and JSON. Work with IDE as Spring STS and deploying into spring tomcat server, WebSphere 6 & using Maven as build tool. Understand the workflow of React Flux pattern based on the user requirements and provided data. Will use Bootstrap and React-Bootstrap Components to create responsive application. Integrate React code with backend using Axios to call backend APIs. Use React/Redux to create data visualizations and API-linked web application for Joint Office of Homeless Services. Use Legacy API’s to integrate existing business functionality into user interface of the applications. Use Node Package Manager (NPM) to manage the modules and using it to install useful tools such as Grunt and Express. Develop Web API using Node.js and hosted on multiple load balanced API instances. Use Spring MVC module to develop MVC Architecture. Use Spring Security and OAuth2.0 for Authentication and Authorization of the application. Manage code versioning with GitHub and deployment to staging and production servers. Using Rest Controllers to replace the existing operations layer, which acts as bridge between business layer and the UI. Implement unit test cases to automate quality control process, and fix bugs whenever identified while testing the application. Perform Functional and integration Testing when moving story to done. Add to the test suite when new code changes are incorporated and merged from different code branches. Proactively test the applications to check if any enhancements that can prevent future bugs/defects. Create groovy and shell scripts to run the Jenkin jobs. Create GIT, Jenkins, and AWS Account for new Applications and building Repository, Jobs, and services as per requirement. Develop data pipelines driven by events/queues and leveraging data streaming. Monitor production environment health and attend security concerns in production and test environments. Monitor Release Branch Management and merge code branches to ensure code is delivered in proper way from branch to branch in GIT version control. Connect unit tests to build process to complete integration testing. Automate test process and update reporting software to monitor test output over time. Add new reporting capabilities to existing applications to improve application monitoring and support.
Position requires up to 100% domestic travel. This position is for full-time, salaried (W-2), permanent employment.
REQUIREMENTS:
Position requires a Master’s Degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field and two (2) years of experience in the Software Industry.
