Manufacturing Process Engineer Medical Devices Stents Tubing Catheters Wire Extruded Coated Sterile Packaging 13485 _ (link removed)

Creating innovative medical tubing products with unique performance characteristics. Implement product design and process development activities for extruded products with compliance to all quality and regulatory requirements.

COLLABORATE with customers, suppliers, and internal cross-functional team members to develop specifications, coordinate fabrication of customer designed parts, and transition prototypes into manufactured components.

IMPROVE process efficiency and product quality and support new equipment and process implementation.

PROVIDE cost-saving initiatives by evaluating manufacturing processes while maintaining quality standards.

DESIGN experiments to provide data based conclusion about processes and product performance.

CONDUCT analytical tests of with Fourier Transform Infrared Spectroscopy (FTIR), Thermogravimetric analysis (TGA), Differential Scanning Calorimetry (DSC), Rheometers, and Viscometers, and interpret results for project recommendations.

TROUBLESHOOT manufacturing equipment and oversee repairs.

WRITE technical reports detailing procedures, outcomes, and observations.

MATERIALS: Medical polymers, thermoplastics, nylon, polyethylene, polyester, polyether ether ketone (PEEK), fluoropolymer, polyimide imide monomers, biodegradable and bioresorbable scaffolds.

PROCESSES: Tube extrusion; wire coating, coextrusion; multi-channel tube extrusion; multi-layer, reinforced, and insert extrusion; braided wire and coiled wire reinforced tube extrusions.

PRODUCTS: Medical tubing, catheters, dilators and sheaths, surgical delivery systems, stents, shaft liners, and medical optics.
