Overview:



We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Product Owner to join our software development team which is building a new web application using modern technology. The Senior Product Owner will work closely with the development team on a day-to-day basis to develop the new features effectively. This role requires a strong background in product development and an excellent understanding of Agile methodologies.?



Responsibilities:



Responsible for defining user stories and acceptance criteria to guide the development and design team. Develop 5-10 detailed specifications per sprint, allowing engineers and designer to efficiently proceed with designing and development.



Backlog Management: Responsible for managing the product backlog. This involves prioritizing items (like user stories, bugs, etc.) in the backlog to ensure that the team is working on tasks that deliver the most value.



Sprint Planning and Scrum Ceremonies: Actively participates in Agile ceremonies such as 2-week sprint planning, retrospectives, and daily stand-ups. They ensure that the team's work aligns with the product goals.



Stakeholder Communication: Acts as a liaison between the development and design team and the stakeholders, ensuring that the team understands the stakeholder's needs and that stakeholders are kept informed about the team's progress.



Qualifications:



Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.



A minimum of 5 years of experience as a Product Owner, with a proven track record of successful product launches.



Proven experience in crafting and managing user stories, ensuring they align with overall product strategy.



Scrum certification would be advantageous, but not required, showcasing a commitment to best practices in Agile methodologies.



Strong understanding of Agile methodologies, such as Scrum and Kanban.



Strong communication skills, capable of motivating and guiding teams and stakeholders.



Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.



Experience with product management tools and software (e.g., JIRA, Confluence, Productboard, Mixpanel, etc.).



Familiarity with user-centric design and development practices.
