Job Responsibilities: The Database Administrator (DBA) will be responsible for providing operational and development support to the organization. Responsibilities including meeting with application project teams to consult on the development of projects, reorganizing database when needed, monitoring and analyzing database performance and usage patterns, and evaluate tools and software. Senior DBA job description 5-7 years experience with DB2 UDB 11.x 5-7 years experience as SQL developer. Demonstrable experience with analysing complex stored procedures. Extensive experience with database performance tuning including stored procedures. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail. Strong knowledge of IBM DB2 UDB and technical database concepts, such as: logical relational data modeling, physical data modeling, tuning large instances, resource management. In-depth knowledge of database design principles, normalization, and data modeling. Experience in LINUX/UNIX Korn Shell scripting Excellent communication skills to effectively convey complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
