PayPal, Inc. seeks MTS 1, Solutions Engineer in Omaha, NE

Job Duties: Design, develop and deploy software solutions that meet market needs with respect to functionality, performance, scalability, reliability, realistic implementation schedules, and adherence to testing goals and principles. Build and implement software solutions that optimally utilize our products and payment platform. Develop Solution Proposal and Solution Designs to define the overall solution and implementation plan with partner engineering team. Own technical delivery of a working solution from design, through to working with partner engineering teams through integration, testing, implementation, and launch. Ensure merchant implements optimal integration strategies, techniques, and user experience best practices. Identify any product/functionality gaps and collaborate internal product and technology teams to define the necessary development to support solution delivery. Work closely with internal teams including compliance, privacy, risk, information security, support, and operations to ensure all aspects of a launch are managed and to align roadmap phases for future release schedules. Provide strategic guidance and direction to Merchants on our product and service offerings. Partial telecommuting permitted from within a commutable distance.

Minimum Requirements: Master’s degree, or foreign equivalent, in Computer Science, Engineering, or a closely related field plus two years of experience in the job offered, as a Software Engineer, or a related occupation. Employer will accept a Bachelor’s degree, or foreign equivalent, in Computer Science, Engineering or a closely related field plus five years of experience in the job offered, as a Software Engineer, or a related occupation.
