We are currently seeking candidates for the following position based in the Norwich office:


Trainee Recovery/Claims Consultant


This is a fantastic opportunity for an enthusiastic individual to kick start a career in Marsh by joining the high-performing Reclaim team, who work within a highly skilled Practice that specialises in cargo recoveries for portfolio of global Marine clients. This will include the funding and support to complete the Certificate in Insurance (CertCII) qualification and further study to Diploma and Advance Diploma if desired.


The role: Trainee Recovery Consultant

A Trainee Recovery Consultant is charged with providing support to both the Recovery Handler and Claims Settling Team in the pursuit of cargo losses against responsible third parties.
The role will involve the analysis of claims for prestigious clients to recover sums due to them by other parties fault or negligence.
There will be the opportunity to travel to meet clients and opponents, as you learn the role with progression to Recovery Consultant, with your own book of clients.

We will rely on you to:

Work closely with the Reclaim Team to handle claims, contact clients and third parties, collect settlement funds.
Work with Fiduciary to ensure accurate processing of claims.
Manage and prioritise workload to meet deadlines while maintaining high standards and integrity of service to external clients.
Assist with collating and reviewing data with a focus on maintaining (and aiming for continuous improvement of) various client service and legal Key Performance Indicators and Service Level Agreements.

What you need to have:

Level 3 qualifications (A-Level) or Level 2 qualifications (GCSE Grades 9-4 or equivalent) with work experience.
Good written & verbal communication skills.
Strong attention to detail and general administrative & organisational skills.
An interest in and find enjoyment from solving problems and developing effective process.
Good numeracy skills.
Enthusiasm and engagement in your own learning & development and in growing professionally.
Good IT skills with confidence to develop skills in new systems and applications quickly.
Keen interest to work in a diverse and collaborative environment.
