Supplier Account Management is a supplier focused role, which aligns the supply base with the business needs, at optimum total cost, meeting the defined requirements of a business entity. Applying continuous improvement of processes and technologies that support material decisions within the assigned scope.
Global Supplier Account Manager (GSAM) supports developing and coordinating key commodity strategies within the Bill of Materials (BOM) procurement. Accountable for Total Cost of Ownership, including material costs, long-term assurance of supply, supplier selection and performance and procurement information/data management, growth and innovation, while effectively managing risk and spend.


Your role:


Maintain and execute commodity strategies for the assigned supplier portfolio.
Establish a Supplier Target and Performance mgmt. based onBenchmarks and performance reviews.
Relentlessly drive impact to the bottom and top line through Supplier Performance Development and innovative negotiation approach. Manage the competition in the supply base to secure a healthy tension between suppliers to foster cost and feature innovation.
Responsible for supplier evaluation and management within the assigned scope
Lead strategic contract and price negotiations for assigned supplier portfolio, including gathering relevant benchmark data, supply market intelligence and driving RfX events.
Responsible for contract management within the assigned scope (develop, maintain and execute)
Manage and demand continuously improved quality from supplier and drives clear actions to achieve this.
Ensure related risks are controlled and mitigated.
Ensure Q&R compliancy for all new supplier deployment as relevant.


You're the right fit if:


US work authorization is a precondition of employment. The company will not consider candidates who require sponsorship for a work-authorized visa.

Bachelors or Masters degree (required) in a Supply Chain or Business related discipline (highly preferred). Separate expert level certifications in Lean/Six Sigma, Design to Cost and Project Management methodologies, preferred.
7+ years of knowledge/experience with procurement with focus on computing solutions and software (a plus). Experienced in supplier relationship development and management within a Regulated (FDA) environment would be of added value.
Strong communication, negotiation and program management skills, ability to drive category related strategic objectives from end to end. Collaborative, having a strategic mindset and comfortable working with cross functional teams (i.e., R&D Engineering, Product Management, Sales, etc.)

Philips Transparency Details


The pay range for this position is $110,000 to $189,000, Annually. The actual base pay offered may vary depending on multiple factors including, job-related knowledge/skills, experience, business needs, geographical location, and internal equity.

In addition, other compensation, such as an annual incentive bonus, sales commission or long-term incentives may be offered. Employees are eligible to participate in our comprehensive Philips Total Rewards benefits program, which includes a generous PTO, 401k (up to 7% match), HSA (with company contribution), stock purchase plan, education reimbursement and much more. At Philips, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top end of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent upon the facts and circumstances of each case.
