Fills prescriptions, reviewing and verifying orders from physicians on the proper dosages of medication to give to patients; ensures prescribed medications will not interact negatively with other drugs the patient may be taking or any medical conditions the patient may have; performs immunizations; procures, stores and distributes pharmacy products according to the laws, regulations, standards, established policies and procedures; answers questions and provides information to customers related to drug interactions, side effects, dosage, and storage of pharmaceuticals; advises patients about general health topics, such as diet, exercise, stress management, and other issues, in order to suggest appropriate supplies and equipment; communicates with patients, employees, and other health care workers regarding over the counter (OTC) products; maintains records for controlled substances, removes expired and damaged drugs from the pharmacy inventory, and sustains inventory; examines medications to determine identity, purity, and strength; completes necessary insurance forms and works with insurance companies to ensure patients receive the medications they need; and maintains established procedures concerning quality assurance, security of controlled substances.

Must have a bachelor's in pharmacy and licensure in the state of Wisconsin.
