UX Lead
to join our Bangalore team building industry-leading applications for connected lighting. Signifys digital portfolio includes IoT applications that leverage data generated by millions of light points in cities, offices, and other professional installations. Customers use our software to manage their lighting system and gain valuable insights into space utilization, environmental factors, energy optimization, and more.

Working as a
UX Lead

Youll play an active role in a world-class design team that is at the heart of a brands strategy, be an essential part of a dynamic structure that sits within the corporate Innovation team of Signify and whose mission is to deliver meaningful insights and value to the business by leveraging the power of a strong in-house design function. The Signify Design Team is a diverse teamwith a global footprint and wide-ranging areas of expertise. Its responsibilities include supporting a variety of business groups, advocating design practices,leading change, sparking collaboration, understanding users, building competence, and elevating the standardsfor design in our industry.We work closely with product managers, engineers, and researchers to deliver cohesivedigitalservices andproducts. A love for people, design and an eye for detailisin our DNA.

You will work closely with our internal partners to translate customer, business, and technology demands into innovative digital offerings that set the standard for the lighting industry. In addition to organizing the local team, you will be hands-on conducting user research, exploration, ideation, and crafting detailed UX/UI designs.Someoneequallyinspiring and pragmatic.

Your challenge is to build a strong UX competence in Bangalore that is closely integrated with a global UX team adhering to Signifys high quality standards and methods. Our UX designers are embedded into product teams where they work fluently with Signify contributors, stakeholders, and engineers in India, Europe, and the US.



What youll do


Lead, coach, and manage projects fora local team ofdesignerscontributingacross professional business segments

Design the UX/UI for global, industry-leading applications on native- and web-based platforms

Collaborate and build relationships with key stakeholders in the Design organization and beyond

Represent and deploy our user-centric design practices within product teams across the company

Partner with business and R&D functions to refine methods and ensure design quality at all stages of the development process


What youll need


Bachelors/Masters Degree
in an UX/UI design-related field

Minimum of 15

years
of relevant user-centered design experience in software development
Ability to demonstrate your past work and process via a strong design portfolio

Relevant experience in the management of designers with mixed competencies

Advanced-level use ofFigma and Agile development toolsand methods

Up-to-date knowledge of the latest web and mobile design trends, frameworks, and best practices

An active attitudein discussing and setting trends and opinionin your field of work: you are a thought leader, or about to become one
