Reporting to the Regional Manager ESPS India/SEA, the Business Development Manager (BDM) is responsible for the development and management of general ESPS service and all standard plant equipment sales within a designated geography. The incumbent will also provide first line supervision of SEA ESPS business team, setting regional strategy, developing and the first line management of team in Asia.

Job Description
The incumbent will have the local ESPS leadership position, able to convey a regional vision and strategy, communicate to all levels within the company and with customers, and deliver against aggressive commercial and business development targets. He/she will set targets for the commercial & support roles in region, developing everyone through regular feedback and coaching. The regional sales of all services and standard plants will be delivered by this team. Regular engagement with the regional Industrial Gas (IG) & Proposal Development/ Engineering teams, with local IG management.
Customer engagement is key to drive profitable sales and develop and sustain strong business relationships. The BDM and regional team will be responsible for profitable new business sales of standard plants, across all technologies (PSA, VSA, PHG, HPN, Cryo, H2), all associated customer plant technical services sales, as well as account management for allocated existing contracts. Measurement of success will be against primary commercial goals, flawless execution of projects and effective use of tools and processes as defined in annual reviews.
Travel will be required in order to meet customers on a regular basis. It is expected that approximately 25% of working time will be out of office.

Job Requirements

Bachelors degree in engineering (typically Mechanical or Electrical)
Thorough understanding of sales, finance, etc. Prior P&L management experience is a plus
Good understanding of Air Products standard plant technology
Account & Project Management experience

Ability to work to tight deadlines with minimum supervision.
Excellent customer relation skills
Excellent sales and negotiation skills
Good working knowledge of contractual and financial business requirements.
An ability to communicate and negotiate at all levels within the company and with customers, across different national boundaries, cultures and time zones.
Ability to handle multiple demands, driven by project as well as off-line commitments.
