II. POSITION SUMMARY


Candidate should have experience and exposure to plan and develop subcontract strategies for contract size ranging from 5 to 50 Mn USD for Global Modularization Programs. He should be able to draft contracts, EP, EPC, Construction, Engineering services.

The successful candidate will possessaBachelors Degree in Engineering or Construction area, with experience in managing EPC, engineering and construction contracts.The incumbent must possess outstanding analytical, communication and influencing skills along with strong business acumen, and excellent organization and time management skills.


III, NATURE AND SCOPE


The High-Performance Global construction subcontracts sourcing team is primarily responsible for all sub-contracting activities for engineering, construction & commissioning for new plants built by Air Products worldwide. As such, Sub-Contract engineers are responsible for managing, negotiating, implementing, and maintaining contract requirements to improve Air Products' competitiveness and enable world-class projects execution.

The candidate must possess both excellent analytical and interpersonal skills. He/she will need to have the knowledge, experience, and ability to employ the appropriate influence strategies with engineering teams, sourcing teams, and business stakeholders to meet established goals and objectives. Should have capability to support and manage change order, contract management and organizational functional activities. Ability to effectively communicate technical and non-technical information, across cultures and organizations is a key success factor.
The successful applicant will be residing at Module fabrication Yard location in India

Travel will be required for this position both short & long business trips as per business needs.



IV. PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES

Pre Award & Award Phase

Conceptualize, develop, and implement project specific contracting strategy, special conditions, developing & Managing Sub Contracts Air Products Domestic & Global Projects and proposals
Perform pre-qualification of contractors
Develop, review and finalization of contractor bidder list
Develop RFP containing clear Scope of Work (SoW), Terms & Conditions, Bill of Quantities, Material Responsibility Matrix etc.
Coordination of pre-bid meetings, site visits and clarification Meetings
Coordinate Technical Bid Evaluation & Perform Commercial Bid evaluation
Negotiation for award of Contracts on optimal rates, terms and Conditions
Preparing Contract Award recommendation & Formal Contract award thru Organization System & IT tools.

Post Award Phase

Coordinating pre-mob meetings
Monitoring Project progress thru review meetings
Managing Contract change Management
Handling of Delay Claims
Perform contract close out meetings and release of contractor performance report.
Effectively participate in Continuous Improvement activities.

V. MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS


Bachelor of Engineering (preferably Mechanical / Civil).
Experience in module contracts and contractual language.
Experience developing and managing unit price contracts.
Minimum 5-7 years of work experience in an industrial environment, working in EPC, engineering contracts and construction contracting.
Theindividual should have sound knowledge of subcontract administration, drafting contracts, managing change orders, claim management and should have managed variety of contract from $ 5 to $ 50 MN.
Thorough understanding of assigned categories and related market.
Excellent oral and written English and local languages proficiency is a must.
