Middlebury, Vermont: We have an exciting new opportunity for a confident Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join an award-winning hospital in this beautiful college town 50 minutes south of Burlington. You will work as a Floater, spending days covering shifts across three outpatient primary care practices, seeing patients of all ages for well-visits in addition to those who are ailing or need ongoing care for chronic conditions. This is a full time position with a convenient weekday schedule.
You will be impressed by the hiring organization a respected 25-bed critical access hospital serving thousands of area patients through a broad range of primary care and subspecialty care, along with a wonderful 98-bed long term care facility. The employer is affiliated with the University of Vermont system, so you will enjoy interactions with members of their esteemed academic medical center. This hospital is the second largest employer in the county, and part of the largest healthcare system in the state, with a mission of caring for neighbors and visitors with compassion and excellence.
In this unique role you will provide advanced level triage, and will support the practices growth in telemedicine using e-visits/asynchronous visits. As such, strong communication skills are a must. Call is shared across many members of the primary care staff, and you will participate about one weekend every other month, and one weekday per month.
