MMC is seeking candidates for an
Accountant
role based in the Urbandale, Iowa office:

What can you expect?


This is a highly visible role working directly with senior leadership across the globe.

This role will provide the colleague with exposure to almost all aspects of the general ledger and accounting policies allowing for rapid growth and learning.

Within the first 60 days, this colleague should and will become a subject matter expect on the MMC global balance sheet reconciliation standard, a key financial accuracy, audit and SOX control.

The ideal candidate should be comfortable working independently.

The ideal candidate should also be comfortable speaking up and communicating ideas and innovations during meetings with key stakeholders and leadership.

We will be returning to the Urbandale office once we are safe to do so following the guidance of local health authorities and the CDC. Currently all employees are working remotely.

We will count on you to:


Execute daily accounting functions and processes as well as reporting financial statements and reconciliations.

Partner closely with on shore and off shore colleagues to identify opportunities for.

Ensure accuracy and timeliness of the accounting.

Participate in projects impacting the department's processes.

Respond to ad hoc requests for financial information.


What you need to have:


Bachelors degree and 5+ years of professional work experience.

Fundamental knowledge of accounting principles- specifically general ledger, balance sheet reconciliation, financial statement preparation, reporting and month end reconciliation.

Proficiency with Microsoft Excel (especially with analyzing large data sets).

An affinity for accounting systems.

Project management experience specifically for process improvement.

Problem solving skills and leadership skills.

Proficiency with Macros.

Experience with using Artificial Inteligence (AI) preferred but not required.
