Penetration Tester (Splunk) – Remote

We have an immediate need for a contract Penetration Tester to join an information management organization. The Penetration Tester must possess a CISA (Certified Information Systems Auditor) certification to join the team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for conducting comprehensive assessments of our clients' systems, networks, and applications to identify potential security weaknesses and vulnerabilities.

Location: Remote

This job expects to pay about $70 – 78 per hour.

What You Will Do: 


  • Perform vulnerability assessments and penetration testing on various systems, networks, and applications.
  • Identify security vulnerabilities, misconfigurations, and weaknesses through manual testing and the use of automated tools.
  • Analyze and interpret security scan results to determine the severity of identified vulnerabilities and their potential impact.
  • Provide detailed reports outlining findings, including recommended remediation steps and best practices for enhancing security posture.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to prioritize and address identified vulnerabilities in a timely manner.
  • Stay current with emerging cybersecurity threats, vulnerabilities, and best practices to continually enhance testing methodologies and techniques.

What Gets You The Job: 


  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
  • CISA (Certified Information Systems Auditor) certification is required.
  • Proven experience in vulnerability assessment, penetration testing, and security analysis.
  • Strong understanding of common security vulnerabilities and attack vectors.
  • Proficiency in using vulnerability assessment tools such as Nessus, Qualys, or similar.
  • Familiarity with industry standards and frameworks such as NIST, ISO 27001, and PCI DSS.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with meticulous attention to detail.
  • Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to convey technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
