PayPal, Inc. seeks Manager, Market Research 2 in San Jose, CA

Job Duties: Develop and deliver world-class decision management solutions that provide insights on key business drivers, trends, and opportunities. Help develop product pricing strategies while balancing PayPal objectives and customer satisfaction. Perform exploratory data analysis to understand the correlation between target performance and product features. Develop modeling tools that produce robust predictive models to support marketing and business initiatives. Partner closely with PayPal analytics teams to define key metrics and facilitate ongoing measurement of the impact of marketing initiatives. Build models to estimate market size, market share, segmentation of markets and perform driver analyses. Conduct analysis of complex data sets to understand and forecast the impact of business and economic uncertainties. Build scalable solutions to provide market and customer insights to all PayPal employees seamlessly. Develop and maintain subject matter expertise in payments industry and key competitors. Develop a deep understanding of PayPal’s business lines, products, and geographies using survey and analytical tools including segmentation, customer surveys, and other feedback tools. Perform deep-dives to identify product challenges, opportunities, and specific actions required.

Minimum Requirements: Master’s degree, or foreign equivalent, in Business Administration, Marketing, or a closely related field plus two years of experience in the job offered, as a Data Analyst, or a related occupation.

Special Skill Requirements:

1. SQL
2. Python
3. Tableau
4. Database Management: S3 and Snowflake
5. Market Research: Qualtrics, MaxDiff, and Mintel
6. Data benchmarking

Experience can be gained through academic coursework, scholastic achievement, or work experience.

Base Salary: $160,965.88 -187,990 per annum. 40 hours per week; M-F, 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
