Purpose of Role
The Lead, Planner Youth Apparel will create and maintain seasonal targets, inform, and influence the line architecture, and is responsible for the creation of the Merchandise Plan at the style level. The Lead, Planner is a strategic partner to the Merchants and Product line managers. A Lead Planner is expected to work cross functionally to ensure execution of strategic initiatives and provide visibility to key stakeholders. As well as understand and articulate the health of the business back to the team, present opportunities or risks, and influences with decisions making around segmentation, allocations, pricing strategies and flow. Your Impact
Build and maintain top line targets for sales growth, demand, style/SKU counts, and $ productivity for each go to market season. Inform and influence the strategic long-term vision, inclusive of line architecture, allocations, pricing and article flow. Leverage data/analytics including Sell-through, Sell-in, Color analytics, and market share. Establish plans that ultimately mirror back to seasonal targets and corporate 5YP strategies. Managing and measuring forecast starting at a class level and later disseminate into style level plans. Review and analyze complex historical trends & data to optimize future forecasts & to inform strategies and action plans. Understand and articulate the health of the business back to the team. Use data-driven analysis to model risks and opportunities to current business with cross functional partners. Reporting: Utilize a multitude of databases to prepare and present performance scorecards (sell through results, future opportunities/risks). Partner with Merchandising and Product line managers to ensure full understanding of quarterly business reviews and complete ad-hoc analysis as needed. Ensure accurate maintenance of planning-owned data fields. Complete published templates to facilitate target/ plan submissions.
Qualifications
Minimum 5 years merchandise planning, store planning, inventory or other business planning experience. Bachelor's Degree or related experience. Can identify and synthesize complex data Problem solving skills to identify root cause and potential solves of reporting and forecasting anomalies Communication skills to clearly explain forecast logic to cross functional stakeholders. Ability to lead with an enterprise mindset and to partner across business unit/functions to drive projects and execute decisions. Excellent in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and BI reporting tools; planning system experience a plus Track record of hitting time lines and deliverables in a fast-paced environment. Strong aptitude in retail math, forecasting methodology and excel skills.

Base Compensation
$96,192.00 - $132,264.00USD Most new hires fall within this range and have the opportunity to earn more over time. Initial placement within the salary range, however, is based on an individual's relevant knowledge, skills and experience for the position.
