Were looking for a
Sr. Mechanical Engineer
to join our
Connected Residential

New Product Development Team
in
Peachtree City, GA.
Youll be responsible for the overall, hands-on mechanical design of the product and meeting the project schedule and budget.

What youll do

Work in conjunction with internal resources and remote engineering to create the overall project timeline, as well as define deliverables and guide the team to completion.

Coordinate with marketing to ensure project specifications are clear, complete, achievable and consistent with the voice of the customer.

Ensure design progression via CAD modeling reviews, thermal and mechanical analysis, drawing and model retention, testing plan creation, test review and coordination with internal and third-party compliance.

Ensure project tooling budget and product cost requirements are met.

Coordinate with sourcing team to ensure vendors are identified, quotations are obtained and quality standards/form deliverables are met.
What youll need

Bachelors in mechanical engineering from accredited university.

5+ years of product design experience with lighting fixtures is a plus.

5+ year Experience with and demonstrated proficiency with Solidworks 3-D modeling software or similar.

Proficient in Thermal and Structural simulation.

Understanding of electrical and optical engineering principles

Familiarity with all design, manufacturing and regulatory (UL, ES, etc.) aspects of LED lighting systems for general lighting is a plus

Good understanding of injection molded plastic, die cast, forging, sheet metal design, manufacturing methods & processes.

Excellent communication, organizational and people skills and the ability to work across functional groups

Ability to create, articulate and promote Engineering best-practices.

Salary: $ $120,700 $177,093 USD
Bonus:target bonus opportunity - 15%
