Evaluate patients before medical procedure or surgery (e.g. NPO status) and ease their worries. Speak to the patients and make them ready for the surgery. Assemble all supplies required for the operation. Accept the accountability of keeping the operating room in an orderly condition and sanitized.

Facilitates and monitors activities related to patient care. Ensures continuity of care based upon knowledge of patient needs. Administers pre/post/recovery room care to patients/staff, as needed, to maintain clinical skills, to assess particular patients' requirements or as support to patient care unit staff
