, youll be responsible for managing the quality a group of component suppliers that serve our businesses and in-house factories in the Americas.

What youll do

This role is responsible for end-to-end quality & sustainability relationship with the allocated supply base.
This role qualifies suppliers, validates, and releases components and related manufacturing processes using Advanced Quality Planning (AQP) methods and has the responsibility to veto if necessary.
Responsible for defining and implementing supplier quality functional excellence initiatives.


Your qualifications


Bachelors degree completed in Engineering.


+8 years experience in Supplier Quality, mechanical components.


Experienced in component release (PPAP, AQP) and problem solving (8D methodology).


Confirmed knowledge of different commodities: aluminum die-casting, aluminum extrusion, plastic extrusion, plastic injection mounding, sheet metal, general optical knowledge, optical characteristics of materials, optical measurements, lighting applications.


Has strong understanding of relevant commodity technology and business domains.


Manage risks with a differentiated approach.


Apply the respective AQP project and release methodology with the supplier in full collaboration with the project team.


Train SQ and AQP tools to suppliers.


Determine supplier technical capabilities based on this knowledge and effectively apply knowledge to resolve customer and production issues.


Understands sustainability and regulatory requirements and can apply them to ensure continuous compliance.


Define and implement improvement programs for suppliers.


Understands financial implications of solutions and requirement.


Strong leadership (indirectly) and communicative skills.


Proven record working in international businesses applying AQP / APQP.


Fluent in English is MANDATORY.
