Job TitleSenior UX Designer-Patient Monitoring Job Description The Senior UX Designer will play a critical role in shaping superior user experiences across Philipsworld leading Hospital Patient Monitoring products/solutions, aligning with user needs/business requirements, helping caregiver teams around the world safely monitor and manage over 600 million patients a year!
Your role:
Lead ahuman-centered designprocessto understand userand contextualneeds and translate these into UXand applicationrequirements.Ensure user feedback and dissatisfiers that strongly influence the user experiences are effectively solved and implemented. Initiate and lead collaborationsacross functionsand development sitesto ensure solutions consider allfunctional, clinical, and regulatory requirements. Lead the UI/UX design direction for medical SW platforms and applicationsresultinginsuperior user experiencesin line with our Design Language System. Lead UXdesignactivities, manage and communicateprogress anddecisionseffectivelyacross cross-functional teamsand stakeholders. Managedeliverables from inception to completion such as:UX requirements,work/interactionflows, UXconcepts, prototypes, and design specifications. Be an ambassador in user experience design, strive for the highestusability standardsand uphold patient safety and quality standards. DriveUI/UXinnovations and contribute to the growth of UX design knowledge withinour design team and bigger organization. Reporting to the Global UX Lead you will work closelyin/withcross-functional teams, includingother designers, usability experts,marketing, domain experts, and engineers. You will initiate and lead collaborationsacross functionsand development sitesto ensure solutions consider allfunctional, clinical, and regulatory requirements. Also, engagement with clinical experts and customers around the world. This Hybrid Cambridge, MA based role may require travel up to 10%.
You're the right fit if:
Youve acquired a minimum of 7 years' experience in UI/UX design, with a detailed understanding of healthcare systems, clinical workflowsand software solutions in FDA regulated, medical product/software environments. Youre able to handle complex sets of cross-functional inputs and apply a (design) systems thinking approach. Translate effectively to UX design requirements andinformation architectures.Able to question assumptions, gather and analyze information to come tobetter andinnovative solutions. You have proven experience with user, usability, and field research methods like user journeys and workflow analysis to define user insights/requirement and improve the overall user experience. You have expertise in/knowledge of latest technology advancements and design tools, interaction design patterns, and visual design trends.Expertisein interaction,concept,and visual design. Experience of working in Design Systems. Expert in UI/UX design tools (e.g. Figma) and UX prototyping. Youre able to deal with ambiguity, comfortable proposingnew directions and conceptswithoutalwayshaving all the necessary information. Youre a team player, inclusive mindset, strongcommunication and storytelling skills,confidence, and ability to managesenior stakeholders, pro-active, comfort with ambiguity,andeagerness to learn. Youve earned a Bachelors Degree in Industrial Design, UX Design or similar disciplines (REQUIRED), Masters Degree desired.
