Job Description:

Provide oral hygiene instructions
Rinses and aspirates the oral cavity, places and removes materials for isolation of the teeth and retracts the lips, cheek, tongue and flaps
Takes oral photographs and radiographs
Provides proper maintenance, cleaning of dental equipment and dental operatories and sterilizes non- disposable dental instruments
Observes proper OSHA infection control procedures
Applies universal precaution standards
Provides basic oral hygiene instructions
Maintains and orders dental supplies
Records and maintains patient medical histories and dental procedures using the electronic health/dental record
Interviews clinic patients to determine eligibility for income based services
Submits dental encounters in the proper format to payers including Ryan White
Prepares treatment trays including instruments, medications, materials and the patients' record
Schedules and confirms patient appointments, answers incoming inquiries and greetspatients
Assists with meeting performance standards of grant funded programs
Assists with data collection for required reporting
Assists with care coordination follow up for referred services
Performs other related duties

Skills:
Less than 1 year of experince required!
Dental radiograph exquipment; dental epuipment required for four-handed dentistry; sterilization equipment.
Unrestricted and active certification as a Dental Radiation Technologist issued by the Maryland
State Board of Dental Examiners

Active Certification:
Covid Vaccinated/Declination,
Maryland Dental Radiation Technologist,
BLS.
