As a Business Insurance (BI) Account Executive in our Middle Market Business Unit, you will establish a new middle market business unit for the MMA East Region. This energetic and detailed individual will be actively involved in client management, strategic planning and insurance marketing and insurance placement for our clients.


Job Responsibilities



Insurance Marketing
Independently initiate and manage the overall insurance marketing process. Must have a technical understanding of industries and coverages and the ability to develop and build upon relationships with carriers. This individual will be responsible for the placement of insurance coverage.


Client Service
Develop overall client service strategy. Manage day to day client relationships by providing high level of service and responsiveness to clients needs. Provide commentary on coverage inquiries, contract review, analytics and market feedback, offer guidance on claims and risk control and coordinate advisory services as needed. Ability to work independently without Producer support on book of business.


Operational Excellence:
Drive operational efficiency and effectiveness within the middle market business unit by implementing best practices, process improvements, and technology solutions. Ensure compliance with underwriting guidelines, regulatory requirements, and company policies.


Proposals
Coordinate and produce insurance proposals, stewardship reports, analytics/benchmarking, market commentary and other client deliverables.


Financial Management -
Develop and manage budgets, forecasts, and financial performance metrics for the middle market unit. Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and financial results to assess business performance and identify areas for improvement.


Advisory Services
As needed, suggest and coordinate client Advisory needs/services.


Leadership
Build, develop, and empower high-performing team. Provide guidance, mentorship, and support to team members to foster their professional growth and maximize their potential.


Job Specifications


5-7 years of commercial property and casualty insurance brokerage or agency experience in Marketing and Account Management.

Effective negotiation and strong placement skills along with the ability to prepare client proposals are essential.

Deep understanding of insurance products, underwriting principles, pricing methodologies, and risk management practices.

Excellent analytical, strategic planning, and problem-solving abilities.

Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.

Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to changing market conditions.

High School Graduate. College degree is preferred but not required.

CPCU, CIC or ARM Designations preferred.

Current Property & Casualty License is required.

Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with an attention to detail and accuracy.

Extensive knowledge of how insurance products are utilized and administered. Extensive knowledge of markets and marketing techniques.
