Description:
Position: Excavating Machine Operator (NOC 73400)
Position Available: 2
Wage: $35.00 per hour
Duration: 40 hours per week
Terms of Employment: Permanent, Full-time

Job Duties:
• Provide support to successful completion of demolition& excavation work.
• Operate heavy equipment like earth movers, bulldozers, front-end loaders, graders and other demolition and excavating related equipment.
• Operate the equipment in the right direction and angles to prevent accidents and damage of property.
• Ensure and operate the machines or equipment in a safe and secure way.
• Perform periodical safety, maintenance or servicing checks to ensure proper functioning of the equipment.
• Regularly inspect equipment for optimal performance.
• Communicate with management or repair personnel regarding significant repairs or maintenance requirements.
• Drive and manage the operation of the equipment effectively.
• Responsively follow signals and directives provided by staff, collaborating closely with team

Specific Skills:
Operate heavy equipment, Clean, and lubricate equipment and refill equipment tanks, operate computer-controlled equipment, conduct pre-operational checks on equipment, Perform minor repairs to equipment.
Job Requirements:

Education: Completion of Secondary school education is required
Experience: 1 or 2 years of training/experience or combination of both
Language: Must be able to communicate in English
Personal Suitability: Team player, Judgement, Flexibility
Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Fast-paced environment, Attention to detail
Work site environment: Outdoors.
Work Setting: Various locations in lower mainland BC.
