Summary
Position Summary:
The Manufacturing Engineer is a key contributor and member of the manufacturing team, helping support production goals and operational strategy for the site. This position is primarily focused on sustaining and improvement processes, tools and equipment of manufacturing systems to ensure predictable, reliable, stable and efficient production operations. The Engineer role collaborates cross-functionally with internal stakeholders and is the catcher of new product industrialization projects and/or product transfers.
Key Duties, Responsibilities and Accountabilities:
Act as first line support for Production Workers/Operators Creates Work Instructions May execute equipment installation and supports ramp-up of specific processes at the site Supports implementation of design changes Executes improvements in manufacturing processes, tools and equipment. This for quality and efficiency improvements Applies lean manufacturing principles Executes Problem Solving for simple Manufacturing problems Recognizes the existence of a problem Identifies data/information needed to draft a problem statement Supports Root cause investigation by data and information gathering Takes ownership of decisions and actions Escalates problem solving to higher level specialists when needed Perform, as specialized workers, assignments that require consultation of specialists to get a clear view on WHAT has to be delivered and that require analysis of the available data in order to decide HOW to best carry out the assignment Work autonomously within established procedures and practices Accountable for low complexity Manufacturing process development, implementation and improvement Executes under the supervision of an experienced Manufacturing Engineer or project leader Stop process if safety Support Cost reduction initiatives Initiate Engineering and Manufacturing Change Orders to implement changes to production documents such as drawings, bill of materials and procedures Perform and troubleshoot process robustness and controls for design verification and validation (IQ, OQ, PQ) in accordance with appropriate standards; stop processes if safety or quality is at risk Interact closely with other technical disciplines during new product development to support the transition of new ideas from engineering to production floor and ensure future manufacturability
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor of Science in engineering or similar field (Mechanical or Industrial Engineering) At least 1 year of related experience or Internship Demonstrated ability to successfully work with others in cross functional teams Ability to provide technical assessment in ambiguous situations Lean manufacturing knowledge US work authorization is a precondition of employment. Physical Requirements:
Frequent standing, walking; occasional climbing or stooping Ability to work in a Clean Room Environment Lift or move objects up to 25 pounds

The salary will be between 70k-85k. The actual base pay offered may vary depending on multiple factors including, job-related knowledge/skills, experience, business needs, geographical location, and internal equity.
