Please Note: This position is full time and is considered virtual. The office will be open 5 days a week (Melville, NY); however, you will not be required to report to the office unless there is a specific business need. Note that work schedules and office reporting requirements may change from time to time based on business needs. Also, this position works remotely from a home office located near a major metropolitan city/airport and requires overnight travel to support our National Account partners.

The ideal candidate will be based in the Mid-west, East Coast, or Central region. They should possess a proven track record in national sales, particularly with a focus on directly engaging with major big box retail chains such as Target, Walmart, Costco, Sam's Club, or similar establishments rather than engaging with individual consumers directly. In addition to this, the ideal candidate should possess leadership experience in leading a national accounts team, overseeing national accounts executives as their direct reports. A critical qualification for this role involves a background in a product or industry similar to that of Canon. The Hiring Manager will also be interested to speak with former Canon employees who meet these criteria.

Overview:

The Senior National Account Sales Manager (Sr Manager, Sales) will be responsible for managing all imaging product within the National Accounts Sales Group and is expected to provide clear direction, support, and daily management of NA Account Executives to ensure that all goals are achieved. The successful individual will collaborate with Senior Management to develop channel strategies and processes to expand Canons National Account business within both established and new partners. There must be clear focus on both short- and long-term business initiatives to increase revenue within the sales channel. Other responsibilities include, but not limited to, growth of Canons shelf space and market share within our dealer partners, effective marketing with our partners to amplify company initiatives, command of market dynamics and competitors and strong leadership of the National Account Sales Team.

Responsibilities:

Attain monthly sales revenue and quota.
Work across teams/departments to maximize synergies within the organization, manage group deadlines, goals and budgets.
Lead, manage, motivate, and support each team member in an effort to help them achieve their respective monthly quotas.
Develop and implement programs to drive sales and increase Canon market share.
Develop strategies to increase sales with key decision makers in assigned accounts.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience required, plus 9 years of related experience and management of 2 or more regular full-time employees.
Experience to include Sales Management and knowledge of National Accounts
Sales experience into national big box retailers (i.e. Walmart, Target, Costco, etc.) is required.
In depth process knowledge to effectively and efficiently manage National Accounts
Candidate must have excellent written and verbal communication skills to effectively interact with external business partners and internal executive management.
Candidate must be self-motivated, capable of prioritizing and performing multiple tasks, and possess strong leadership skills to motivate and lead a sales team
Leads others through change and has the ability to manage through resistance.
Ability to prioritize and multitask in a fast-paced, changing environment.
Self-motivated, results oriented, creative thinker.
Strong communication, presentation skills and organizational skills
Analytical approach in identifying opportunities
Strong negotiation skills
Proven experience in managing, motivating and training a sales team
Proficient computer skills necessary (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook etc.)
This position works remotely from a home office located near a major metropolitan city/airport and requires overnight travel to support our National Account partners.
Ability to travel up to 50% nationwide.
Individual must possess a clean valid state driver's license in order to obtain the position.
This position requires driving; therefore, a valid driver's license and acceptable driving record are necessary. Additionally, because this position requires driving for company business as an essential function of the job, must remain in compliance with company safety guidelines and policies.
