Position is Part-Time

Purpose: Develop, implement, and supervise a vital ministry to students that will disciple believers into a vibrant, courageous, and long-lasting faith. Also, develop and train leadership teams of staff and laypeople for each ministry.

Abilities and Qualifications: Demonstrate an authentic love for young people, are perceived to be relevant by them, and have keen insight into their motivation and needs.
Affirm Redding Christian Fellowship's doctrinal statement and have a deep theological understanding.
Have an adequate biblical education and ministry experience appropriate for middle school ministries. Develop a continuous desire to learn to become a more effective student ministry leader.
Demonstrate creativity governed by maturity.
Demonstrate a commitment to teamwork.

Responsibilities: Lead the church's efforts to minister to middle school-aged students.
Reach out to unchurched youth in the community, engage them with the gospel, and involve them in the church's work.
Recruit, develop, and deploy new volunteers for RCF's youth ministry.
Develop an annual budget for the youth ministry in consultation with other youth leaders and senior church leadership and operate within the constraints of that budget.
Regularly teach the Bible to the youth with conviction, compassion, and care.
Lead efforts to minister to the parenting needs of the church body.
Participate in general pastoral duties as needed (weddings, funerals, counseling, etc.
Establish a long-term vision for how the church engages youth.
Be available to preach and teach the Bible in adult worship services when asked.
Develop and execute a strategic plan for the youth ministry.
Regularly report to the church's leadership about developments in the youth ministry.
Lead the youth in short-term service/mission experiences
Work with other church leaders to find ministry opportunities for youth in the broader church family.
Review all curricula used by the church's youth ministry and ensure they are consistent with the church's doctrinal commitments.
Be a member and a regular participant in Redding Christian Fellowship life.
Participate in staff meetings and staff away days.
Encourage a working atmosphere free from sexual and or abusive harassment.
Perform other "work-related" functions as deemed necessary by the Board of Elders or the Lead Pastor.

Requirements: A bachelor's degree is preferred but not required.
Understanding of and willingness to serve within the doctrinal commitments of the church.
Strong ability to lead people of varying ethnicities, socio-economic levels, and generations.
A desire to teach and mentor youth in biblical truth.
Ability to pass a background check.
