ROLE: Senior Manager, CFA Program
Remote role
Responsible for the development, implementation and management of a wide range of strategic initiatives in support of extending the reach and influence of CFA Program across its current and potential customer base, utilizing effective methods of project management, communication, and interpersonal skills. This role will synthesize customer research, market intelligence and competitive intelligence for CFA Institute to provide centralized guidance to senior leadership in the Credentialing function that informs the growth strategy of CFA Program and drives complex, high impact, cross functional growth strategies. This will include both organic and potential acquisition initiatives to drive the demand for the CFA Program in the minds of prospects worldwide. The Senior manager also oversees revenue generation aspects of the CFA Program office outside registrations, including relationships with prep providers, the scholarships team and special projects. The Senior Manager generates compelling reporting to educate the organization’s leaders to external factors shaping the marketplace, to improve performance, and to generate actionable insights tailored to the external environment. Other specific duties include: Synthesize inputs from a wide array of off-the-shelf and technology platform inputs such as the LinkedIn people database to reveal data-driven actionable truths about the drivers of the Program. Create engaging and informative visualizations of inputs using ThinkCell advanced chart toolkit to provide clear and relevant insights to Credentialing leaders for their decision-making processes. Conduct hypothesis-testing on highly leveraged analyses for the CFA Program to inform and validate strategic direction. Build and maintain derived demand and market sizing models to inform major strategic decisions and to triage new business ideas. Continuously track market penetration of the Programs from an array of third party sources such as Bloomberg people database and serve as an early warning system for the Programs. Systematically search for new pools of NLI candidates to direct Sales & Marketing efforts. Maintain holistic understanding of the drivers of CFA Program success and potential intermittent disruptors from year to year using news aggregation services such as FactSet to track factors such as student flows, shifting financial centers, immigration, and public health. Generate frameworks and storylines from data sources including Tableau and Snowflake analytics packages for clear, concise, and compelling presentations on Program growth trend and opportunities. Uncover and communicate data supported facts critical to revenue generation. Create and leverage strong cross-functional relationships to connect candidate and institutional outreach. Exemplify a professional and diplomatic demeanor in working and communicating with colleagues and stakeholders. Establish rapport with all levels of staff and management. Utilize intellectual curiosity and good judgement in decision making.
Location of employment: The position is remote, however the employee may travel up to 10% of time, including to domestic CFA Institute offices (Charlottesville, VA; D.C.; New York City), as well as internationally to CFA overseas offices or conferences as needed.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, information technology, business, or a related discipline or foreign equivalent.
- 5 years of experience with data analytics in the financial services context.
- 5 years of experience in product development and sales development in the educational technology context.
