Purpose:
The HR Generalist plays an important role in the sustainability of programing throughout the agency. This is accomplished within the various components of the generalist role.

Job Responsibilities:
Talent acquisition (recruitment: candidate sourcing, writing job ads, attending Job Fairs, candidate screening, etc.)
Processing unemployment claims as needed
Complete EEO and other Federal/State required reporting
Responsible for various HR metric reporting (e.g. Safety, OSHA, compliance, turnover, compensation comparisons, etc.)
Maintenance of HRIS system and HRIS system training of Management
Conducting HR New Hire Meetings as assigned.
Assists with coordination of new hire Orientation.
Respond to employment verifications.
Prepare or maintain employment records (including filing).
Implement and manage electronic employee files.
Support with benefit processes and communication/marketing
Assists with Agency Training and Training compliance.
Various HR projects as assigned.
Attendance is crucial to the position.

Job Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources preferred. Associate Degree with 3 years lived experience or a minimum requirement of 5 years hands on lived experience.
PHR certification is preferred and/or desire to grow in the HR Profession and willingness to work toward professional credentials.
General Human Resources Knowledge including: Employee relations, Employee Engagement and leadership; Recruiting, HR Regulatory Federal and State compliance laws (e.g. EEO, OSHA, FMLA, ADA, FLSA, ACA and TITLE VII); Compensation Analysis, Risk Management and HR best practices.
This position requires a high level of confidentiality.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills and ability to work under pressure and cope with deadlines.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail and time management.
Self-starter with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Previous experience with ADP is a plus+
Previous experience with ADP Applicant Tracking System a plus+
Position requires some driving of own vehicle. Must have own reliable transposition.
An insurable driving record is required.
Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Publisher)
Proficient with Adobe software
