Job Title: Information Technology Technician

Location: Deerhurst Resort (Huntsville), Muskoka Bay Resort (Gravenhurst) & Horseshoe Resort (Barrie)

*The successful candidate must have suitable transportation to be able to work out of the Barrie/Muskoka area where these three Resorts are located.

Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Information Technology Specialist to join our team. This position requires expertise in a resort or similar environment,  IT applications to support our diverse and dynamic resort operations. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining or repairing our IT infrastructure, ensuring seamless and efficient technology use across all properties. This role involves travel between properties; therefore, a valid driver's license and a vehicle is required. Additionally, an A+ certificate or equivalent proven experience  is required to demonstrate foundational IT knowledge and skills.

Responsibilities:

• Install, configure, and maintain IT systems and software specific to resort operations.
• Provide technical support and training to staff at various properties, ensuring optimal use of technology resources.
• Manage and troubleshoot network devices, hardware, and software issues, ensuring minimal downtime.
• Coordinate with vendors and external support teams to resolve technical issues.
• Travel between resort properties to perform on-site installations, updates, and repairs.
• Assist in the planning and execution of IT projects, including system upgrades and migrations.
• Document IT procedures, configurations, and inventory, maintaining accurate records.
• Ensure compliance with IT policies and industry best practices.

Requirements:

• Proven experience as an IT Technician, with a strong background in resort or similar IT environments.
• A valid driver's license and willingness to travel between properties as required.
• A+ Certification or equivalent experience is mandatory.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical users.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.
• Familiarity with network administration, cybersecurity, and wireless infrastructure.
• Prefer local to the Barrie Muskoka area.
• Must be legally able to work in Canada.
• This position does not offer staff housing or accommodations.
