TENT is recruiting a part-time, after-school nanny for two kids in Afton, MN, on the east side of Saint Paul. Your loyalty, intelligence, and commitment will earn you $23 - $27 an hour year-round. Some schedules are flexible, and if you need more hours, your household management skills will be used well. In addition to transporting the children to activities, these elementary-aged children may need light homework help or tutoring. But what is the family like?

Both of the children are highly energetic, engaged, and happy. They love being a part of the action and are always on the go. Whether its to dance class, soccer practice, Kumon tutoring, or swim school. They love being active both indoors and outdoors. Their ideal part-time after-school nanny will be energetic, too. They enjoy creating games, putting on plays, safely baking, and reading many books.

The ideal part-time babysitter will be available long term. In addition, the childcare provider will have previous experience working with older children and managing a home. Behavior boundaries may sometimes need to be established, as with any child.

You must be loyal, attend work on time, and communicate thoroughly and consistently. The rate of pay is incredibly competitive for the area, and we expect you to be able to prove your commitment using our application process.

Please be able to start sooner rather than later, but we are willing to wait for the right candidate.

Approximate Schedule (More Hours Are Available if Needed - The Minimum Required Schedule is 2:30 pm to 6:30 pm)
Monday: about 2pm - 7pm
Tuesday: about 2pm - 7pm
Wednesday: about 2pm - 7pm
Thursday: about 2pm - 7pm
Friday: about 2pm - 7pm
Saturday & Sunday: none

Nanny Requirements:
You are eligible to work in the United States.
You have at least a high school diploma, GED, or equivalent
You have a reliable car and minimal speeding tickets/accidents for this babysitting job.
You are willing to use your car for transporting the kids. You will receive mileage reimbursement.
You are Not allergic to dogs.
You are an organized person who follows through.
You appreciate a tidy home and will help with vacuuming, emptying the trash, emptying the dishwasher, and managing the children's laundry.
You are seeking a long-term part-time position.
You take initiative and are a proactive caregiver with some household management skills.
You have previous experience as a nanny and/or household manager.

Childcare Preferences:
You may have majored in early childhood education (K-12) at an accredited college or university (2 or 4 years) or technical/ community college.
You might be certified in CPR/First Aid/SIDS/Water Safety, etc.
