POSITION: SR. DATABASE ENGINEER (#381467)
LOCATION: WESTBOROUGH, MA

Approve schedule plan and assist with the installation and testing of new products and improvements to computer systems, such as the installation of new databases. Implement database strategies and solutions while providing database support for software development/applications for eClinicalworks’s EMR implementation. Serve as part of the technical and clinical team in developing database strategies for eClinicalWorks’s EMR implementations. Assist users, answer questions, and specify users/user access for each segment of database. Review project requests that describe database user needs to estimate time and costs required to accomplish project. Select and enter codes to monitor database performance and to create production database. Install and upgrade server software and install/configure Database Management System (DBMS). Maintain a technical level of knowledge for all supported systems this includes utilities, operating systems, and system management. Monitor and troubleshoot servers running eClinicalWorks’s EMR software. Apply database best practices, including troubleshooting skills and experience, to ensure that enterprise data is always available to systems and customers. Develop necessary patches to effect database changes and requirements this includes analysis, design, coding, testing, implementing, training, and documentation as needed to complete the request. THIS ALSO Includes changes for projects being worked on by other staff members. Diagnose problems within a database by using the resources and tools available and properly documenting changes to the system for change management.

REQUIREMENTS:

Masters Degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Business Analytics, Engineering, Information Science, Applied Analytics, Management Information Systems (MIS).
