Senior FIU Intelligence Analyst (Western Union, LLC, Denver, CO)


Lead cross-functional working groups. Identify and structure opportunities for programmatic developments. Design and lead the planning and execution of complex projects. Lead and fulfill wide variety of ad-hoc analytic requests from FIU, Compliance, and/or Corporate senior leadership. Support and partially lead training for new hires. Manipulate bulk data using Alteryx and Tableau or PowerBi. Develop new and innovative analytical methodologies. Establish intelligence priorities for one of the FIUs primary focus areas and develop and direct collection against these priorities. Produce written intelligence products reports utilizing multiple, disparate sources of information. Brief wide variety of stakeholders, including senior executives, high-level corporate partners, and/or law enforcement representatives. Continue to brief internal FIU teams. Telecommuting may be permitted. When not telecommuting, must report to 7001 E. Belleview Ave., Denver, CO 80237. Salary Range: $79,186 to $131,250 per year.

Minimum Requirements: Requires a Masters degree or U.S. equivalent in Applied Intelligence, Threat Finance, Financial Crime, or related field plus 1 year of professional experience as an Intelligence Analyst, Investigator, or any occupation/position/job title involving intelligence research.

Must also have the following special skills:
1 Year of professional experience manipulating bulk data sets using software programs including Alteryx and Tableau; 1 Year of professional experience creating constructed judgments about issues for which there are incomplete or imperfect evidence including establishing and justifying associated confidence levels; 1 Year of professional experience working with extremely large, complex data sets featuring thousands of rows of data and basic SQL concepts; 1 Year of professional experience utilizing advanced Microsoft Office including Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Access; 1 Year of professional experience adhering to Bank Secrecy Act, AML Compliance, general risk-based compliance, yielding a comprehensive understanding of technology and best practices in the compliance field; and 1 year of professional experience performing open-source research, intelligence, or law enforcement work.

Annual base salary gross: $79,186 $131,250 USD. The base salary range represents the anticipated low and high end of the Western Union salary range for this position. Actual salaries will vary and will be based on various factors, such as candidates qualifications, skills, competencies and proficiency for the role. The base salary is one component of Western Unions total compensation package for employees.
