Travel Requirements:
Up to 20%A career in our Risk Modeling Services practice will provide you with the opportunity to contribute general insurance advice and consulting services to clients such as insurers, banks, regulators, and third party administrators. Youll provide advice covering solvency, economic capital, risk management, mergers and acquisitions, company restructuring and risk control, financial modelling, underwriting, new legislation, and the efficiency of claims or reporting processes. Simply put, you might help analyse the impact that new regulation will have on an insurance companys balance sheet or you could be revising businesses projections and making sure they have adequate reserves.

Our team helps our clients address new financial reporting requirements by assessing the financial and business impacts of regulations, building implementation plans, and implementing relevant requirements, particularly across areas of financial reporting change.

Our Interns role in PwCs core actuarial and insurance services provided to clients is to:
Support select projects; demonstrating creative thinking and individual initiative while working as a team member, building impactful relationships with team members;
Proactively seek guidance, clarification and feedback; and,
Demonstrate flexibility in prioritizing and completing tasks while exercising professional skepticism.

Before starting with PwC full-time, demonstration of active interest in the pursuit of Associateship of the Society of Actuaries (ASA) or Associateship of the Casualty Actuarial Society (ACAS).

Demonstrates some abilities and/or a proven record of success in the following:
Possessing a basic understanding of actuarial science, applied statistics, risk and capital management, value analyses, and financial reporting standards;
Desiring to pursue a career in actuarial consulting;
Exhibiting creative problem solving skills and the ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks;
Interacting with various levels of client and firm management in both written and verbal form; and,
Exemplifying an ability to self-motivate and take responsibility for personal growth and development.
