Position: Carpenter (Permanent/Full Time)
No of Vacancies: 6 Positions
Company Description Pamia Construction Ltd. a commercial construction & renovation company. We are looking for a passionate and hardworking person for Carpenter position.
As a Carpenter your job description would be as follows:
• Maintain, repair and renovate residences and wooden structures.
• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings and sketches to determine specifications and calculate requirements
• Prepare layouts in conformance to building codes, using measuring tools
• Measure, cut, shape, assemble and join materials made of wood, wood substitutes, lightweight steel and other materials
• Build foundations, install floor beams, lay subflooring and erect walls and roof systems
• Fit and install trim items, such as doors, stairs, moulding and hardware
Education: Completion of High School required
Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities
Large workload, Physically demanding, Handling heavy loads, Bending, crouching, kneeling, Combination of sitting, standing, walking
Personal Suitability
Judgement, Accurate, Effective interpersonal skills, Team player, Client focus
Language Requirements: Must be able to communicate in English
Salary: $30.00 hourly for 30-40 hours/week
Experience: 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in commercial and residential projects
Financial Support for Relocation: Financial support will be provided to Canadian/Permanent Residents who are willing to relocate from any parts of Canada. Company will provide transportation and moving costs along with assistance in finding proper accommodation and installation of utilities.
Job Location: All over lower mainland area depending upon contracts.
