Respiratory Therapist ndash; RRT CRT Gainesville FL Full time Nights Rotating Weekends A 523 bed full service medical and surgical acute care center For over 49 years we have served North Central Florida We offer comprehensive cardiovascular care oncology orthopedics and neurosciences We offer minimally invasive laparoscopic and robotic surgery weight loss surgery and treatment Other services that we provide include women health and wound therapy We are fully accredited by the Joint Commission and certified as a Comprehensive Stroke Center Our hospital has an Accredited Chest Pain Center by ACC American College of Cardiology and is designated as a Blue Distinction Center for Spine Surgery and Bariatric Surgery We are committed to patient safety and quality of care We have received the highest scores available in recognition of this commitment Job Summary and Qualifications Knowledge of patient responses side effects and proper dosages of medications used in respiratory care Able to communicate effectively with Physicians patients managers and the publics Ability to teach instruct assess and reassess others Able to recognize and report abuse and neglect in patients Knowledge of generally accepted practices in respiratory care as prescribed by the physician Delivers set up and maintains routine and non routine therapies and equipment i e oxygen aerosol therapy ventilators utilized by Respiratory Therapy Ability to perform and interpret Arterial Blood Gases Experience Requirements: 1yr min Acute care setting exp required ICU CVICU NICU PICU Critical care unit Certification Licensure Requirements: FL State Respiratory License NBRC ndash; RRT CRT Basic Cardiac Life Support BLS ACLS Advanced Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date NRP Neonate Resuscitate must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date PALS Pediatric Adv Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date Experience Requirements: 1yr min Acute care setting exp required ICU CVICU NICU PICU Critical care unit Shifts: Nights 6:30p 7a with every other weekend rotation; FYI days shift is about a 2yr wait list w current staff Salary range: 1yr: 24 93 2 3yr: 27 17 4 5yr: 28 30 6 7yr: 29 42 9 10yr: 30 54 Cap 33 59 SIGN ON: 7500k Relo: Case by case Shift Diffs: Nights 3 25 Weekends 2
