Job Summary:
EverydayEssentialsDepot is seeking a reliable and responsible Company Driver to join our team. The Company Driver will be responsible for safely and efficiently transporting goods and materials to various destinations, ensuring timely deliveries and maintaining the company's vehicle in good working condition. This role is crucial in ensuring the smooth operation of our supply chain.
Key Responsibilities:
-Safely operate and maintain company vehicles, including vans or trucks.
-Transport goods and materials to designated locations in a timely manner.
-Load and unload cargo, ensuring proper handling and securing of items.
-Plan routes and schedule deliveries to optimize efficiency.
-Maintain accurate records of mileage, fuel consumption, and delivery times.
-Conduct regular vehicle inspections and routine maintenance.
-Report any vehicle defects or maintenance needs to the appropriate department.
-Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations.
-Ensure the safety of goods and materials during transit.
-Communicate effectively with the logistics team and clients to coordinate deliveries.
-Assist with the loading and unloading of goods as needed.
-Provide excellent customer service when interacting with clients or customers.
-Maintain a clean and organized vehicle.
Qualifications:
-Valid driver's license (appropriate for the type of vehicle to be driven).
-Previous experience as a company driver or a similar role is preferred.
-Clean driving record with no major accidents or violations.
-Strong knowledge of traffic laws and regulations.
-Excellent navigation and route planning skills.
-Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
-Ability to lift and handle heavy items when required.
-Attention to detail and a focus on safety.
