Quality Control Receiving Inspector
As a QC Receiving Inspector, your primary job function will be responsible for incoming inspection reviews and approvals. You will have opportunities to grow your skills with reviewing of manufacturing batch records/traveler, deviations, release of subassemblies and finished devices and associated documents according to standard operating procedures.
The QC Receiving Inspector will primarily be in the Receiving Inspection area with opportunities to learn label verification and final QC release as needed to support QC activities and the opportunity to work in a team environment to efficiently maintain quality standards and meet our customer demands.
Your Role:
Interfacing with production teammates to ensure expedited closure of issues/discrepancies detected during batch records review.
Initiation of NCMR reports with quarantine of nonconforming materials, and/or participate in root cause investigations
Ensuring assigned training is accurate and complete
Providing input for continuous improvement of procedures, specifications and processes.
Developing and foster teamwork and positive working environment, while reducing work area distraction
Reading, analyzing and interpreting engineering drawings, product specifications, receiving inspection plans, and test procedures.
Performing visual, dimensional, and functional inspections on consumable products subassemblies, fixtures, and raw material
Performing First Article Inspection on critical dimensions
Understanding and utilize Acceptance Sampling Plans using AQL sampling and 100% inspection.
Knowing and understanding Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) and inspection techniques.
Handling and using typical QC inspection equipment including drop gages, rulers, calipers, video measuring system, microscope, micrometer, pin gages
Executing training for other QA/QC specialists and/or QC inspectors, including use of various measuring equipment to collect data to determine acceptance
Completing required updates to SOPs, Work Instructions, and Documents utilizing the Philips documentation system.
Preparing area and may participate in internal and external quality audits.
Acting as temporary supervisor to other QA/QC specialists and/or QC inspectors
Supporting Receiving Inspection and/or QC inspections.
You're the right fit if:
High School diploma or GED equivalent required
Associate degree in any technical field is preferred
1+ years of QC inspection experience in medical device or pharmaceutical industry preferred
1+ years experience with cleanroom or controlled environment room preferred
Experience with government regulated environment (e.g. FDA, FAA, ISO) preferred
Proficient with computers, including Microsoft Office, Material/Doc Control Software
Excellent training abilities and skill
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to detect potential problems and recommend corrective actions.
Extensive knowledge of Good Documentation Practices (GDP); able to provide coaching on GDP.
Must be highly organized and detail oriented.
Must be able to work with minimal supervision and independently takes on responsibilities.
