We currently have a fantastic opportunity for a self-motivated and driven individual to

kick start their career within the Marine Cargo sector, and are currently seeking candidates for the following role:



Graduate/Trainee/Entry Level Client Manager


You will be joining a highly experienced and established team, where full training will be provided. Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills will be essential, together with a natural aptitude for taking onboard new information which can be technical in nature. You will also be able to display a genuine interest in building a career within the Marine Cargo Insurance industry.

The role: Client Manager Marine Cargo

The Client Manager will work within the Cargo team who are responsible for the profitable handling and growth of existing cargo insurance accounts. Working closely with Servicing Teams, Placement Specialists and Insurers to effectively manage a global portfolio of cargo clients and ensure best practice is achieved.

We will rely on you to assist the Client Executive / Brokers with:

Servicing a worldwide portfolio of clients produced on a wholesale as well a retail basis.
Service both renewals and new business from the Principals initial enquiry through to the handing over of the placing slip to the Documentation / Policy Department for processing and invoicing.
Assist with the placement of business with insurers via electronic trading.
To contribute towards and meet internal targets in respect of; error reduction, quality checking and processing.
Review and respond to queries from Marsh Operations and manage these to close in a timely manner.
Delivering excellent client service for the Cargo Department.


What you need to have:

Good level of secondary education to include GCSE Maths and English at Grade 4 (C) or above (or equivalent)
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
Resilience and a can do attitude
Attention to detail and the ability to work under pressure to strict deadlines is essential
Solid IT skills with the ability to pick up new systems quickly (particularly Excel)


What makes you stand out:

Previous Insurance/office experience
Educated to A-Level or equivalent (B-TEC, T-LEVEL etc.)
University Degree (or equivalent)
CII qualifications or currently working towards obtaining
