Proficiency in SMP/E for software upgrade and maintenance, and utilizing tools like CICS Performance Analyzer for statistics gathering, are essential. Experience with CICSPlex SM implementation, dynamic transaction routing, and understanding CICS resource definitions for performance optimization are crucial. Additionally, candidates should be adept in problem determination, dump analysis, and utilizing monitoring tools like Sysview for CICS. Familiarity with Cobol is necessary to support application developers, along with experience in Mainframe Websphere MQ.
