Company
We are an established wilderness eco-tourism company working with a conservation institute to facilitate conservation trips that get our guests actively involved in hands-on conservation projects while reconnecting to nature and themselves. We are located in the Chilcotin Ark, a one of a kind place for wildlife and nature due to the diverse combination of ecosystems. At Chilcotin Holidays, we believe an internship should be more than just another line item on your resume - it should be a life-changing experience profoundly expanding your vision of who you can be and what you can accomplish. In all of our internships, we challenge our interns to clearly identify and continuously re-evaluate their interests, goals, and purpose. Therefore, while you will certainly gain valuable work experience in Tourism Business, you are not restricted to this and you get a holistic experience of what life on a ranch based research centre entails. You will meet colleagues from all around the world, working in this exceptional and unique environment.

Job description
Within this internship you will have the chance to work in every aspect of the office, including, but not limited to the following:
Organize daily meetings
Managing weekly and monthly planning and scheduling
Organize and facilitate conservation and research trips
Develop strategies, business and action plans and implement them
Promote, market and sell our conservation-trips year round
Implement our Six Principles of Nature Connection, Nature Conservation and Personal Development into content

Requirements:
The requirement for staying with us is your commitment to your Personal Development and to contribute to the self-sustainable lifestyle of our community. You are ready to view challenges as opportunities to learn and grow and take initiative to leave your comfort zone. You are willing to work long hours of physical work when doing conservation projects and daily tasks which contribute to our self-sustainable lifestyle such as cooking shared meals, housekeeping and other ranch chores e.g. repair maintenance, animal care and cutting wood. These communal living requirements are in addition to the job applied for. They offset any housing, food costs and other opportunities.

Benefits:
Opportunities match responsibility taken and include attending external workshops and learning new skills and gaining knowledge.

Hands-on experience and insights into Nature Conservation, contributing to something bigger and a positive change in the world.

Live by our Six Principles of Nature Connection, Nature Conservation, Personal Development, Self-Sufficiency, Empowerment, and Conscious & Aware.

Your Personal Development is the priority of your experience, so we facilitate the environment for you to grow and evolve towards your best self.

You become part of our self-sustainable community where we support each other in our goals and mission and share our personal experiences on a daily basis.

You will live and work in a remote wilderness environment and experience a self-sustainable lifestyle, where you reconnect with nature and yourself.

You create your own work schedule that meets your interests and moves you towards your goals.

Room and full board provided.
